Valdosta Campus Named a Military Friendly School

Georgia Military College Valdosta Campus Named a Military Friendly School After years of research, the G.I. Jobs magazine, a veteran owned business, has named Georgia Military College Valdosta Campus as a Military Friendly School for 2011. This honor ranks Georgia Military College Valdosta in the top 15 percent of all colleges, universities and trade schools which are doing the most to embrace America’s veterans as students. The Georgia Military College Valdosta Campus was chosen as a Military Friendly School for its policies, efforts to recruit and retain active duty military, military family members and veterans, and its academic accreditation. The College has a Program Coordinator located at Moody AFB to assist active duty military and their family member with the enrollment process, answer questions regarding Georgia Military College, and Tuition Assistance (TA). Veteran’s can receive one stop service regarding advisement, registration, and certification through the VA Services Coordinator, who also serves as the campus Financial Aid Supervisor. The Valdosta Campus can also assist Veteran’s and their family members with the MyCAA program as well as Chapter 31 (VOC Rehab) benefits. Georgia Military College, the only public liberal arts junior college located in Valdosta, is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award associate degrees. The Valdosta Campus offers more than 15 majors in popular areas of study such as business administration, criminal justice, education, homeland security, pre-nursing, and psychology. Advisement for the Winter 2011 term is currently underway. For further information visit the Valdosta Campus at 4201 N. Forrest Street or our Moody AFB office located at 3010 Robinson Road.
