Welcome to Georgia Military College. GMC is a character and leadership-based institution with over 143 years of training and developing future leaders. Our mission statement, “Georgia Military College builds on our military heritage grounded in our core values of Duty, Honor, and love of Country to provide hope and opportunity through individual growth and education of our students to develop their intellect and character as authentic servant leaders in an environment focused on elevating civility and respect for others” recognizes that you are part of a community of aspiring leaders. As a member of this community, we encourage you to get involved, participate, forge friendships that will last a lifetime, and carry on the traditions and legacy of this storied institution.
Please familiarize yourself with this handbook, which is an excellent start to learning about GMC culture and community. It is designed to assist you in learning about the many opportunities at Georgia Military College.
To help assure all students make full use of their time at Georgia Military College, a series of rules and regulations to guide students, faculty, and administrative staff is regularly published. The Student Handbook focuses specifically on the needs of students and contains information valuable to you as you pursue your educational goals.
Please contact your Campus Director if questions or issues arise not covered by this handbook. You can also reach out to the Institutional Dean of students at deanofstudents@gmc.edu or phone 478-387-4890 during business hours (Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.). When an in-person meeting is necessary, it is best to schedule in advance. Virtual meetings are also available.
