Scholarship in Honor of Chairman of GMC Board of Trustees

Georgia Military College and Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office Offer Scholarship in Honor of Chairman of GMC Board of Trustees

Georgia Military College and the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office are proud to announce a new opportunity for prospective students that desire to serve as a Deputy Sheriff in their local community. The GMC George Hogan Sr. Law Enforcement Professional Scholarship (GMC GHS LEP Scholarship) is a two-year scholarship offered at the GMC-Milledgeville campus for students to earn an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice and upon graduation, work as a Deputy Sheriff at the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office for at least two years.

Hogan currently serves as the Chairman of the GMC Board of Trustees. Based on his love of Georgia Military College, his proud background as a Georgia State Patrol Trooper, and his personal commitment to provide hope and opportunity to the people of Milledgeville and Baldwin County, Baldwin County Sheriff Bill Massee and the GMC leadership team could think of no better person of character to name this scholarship in honor of.

“I am greatly honored to be part of this scholarship… serving as a law enforcement officer is one of my proudest moments in life,” said Chairman Hogan.

Basic requirements for this scholarship include high school diploma or GED, ability to pass all BCSO hiring requirements, be accepted as a new full time/in-seat student at the GMC-Milledgeville campus, must complete all Federal and State Aid Applications.
