Georgia Military College Preparatory School Students Continuing Athletic and Academic Careers at GMC Junior College

Georgia Military College (GMC) is proud to announce that four GMC Preparatory School Soccer team members, Colby Avery, Emma Evans, Ryley Taylor, and Levi Ward, have committed to continue their athletic and academic careers at GMC at the junior college level.

The four players were all standouts on the GMC Prep School girls’ and boys’ soccer teams. The boys’ team had a fantastic season earning them a spot in the state championship, while the girls’ team made it to the second round of the state playoffs. The players will begin their academic and athletic careers at GMC in the fall, where they will join a strong soccer program with a tradition of success.

The junior college men’s soccer team finished the 2022 season as back-to-back GCAA conference champions and made their second straight appearance at the NJCAA national championship tournament, while the junior college women’s team were runners-up in the GCAA championship.

“We are proud of these student-athletes and their commitment to both their athletic and academic pursuits,” said Rob Manchester, Georgia Military College Junior College Athletic Director. “At GMC, we believe in the power of sports to help students develop leadership, teamwork, and perseverance, and we are excited to see these young men and women continue to grow and excel on and off the field.”
