Cost for Cadets
Georgia Military College has dedicated itself to offering the highest quality community college education at some of the lowest prices found. Nationally ranked for the value to students, GMC is the college of choice for many people seeking to start or continue their college education. Tuition & Fees may vary from campus to campus, but there are certain values that can be found at each.
Tuition and Fees
No Out-of-State Tuition
Most colleges will charge varying rates based on the home residence of the student. At GMC, all students pay the same low rate. So this means, if you are not a Georgia resident, the tuition & fees listed are what you pay. This makes GMC an excellent value for students wishing to take classes in the state of Georgia.
You Rent Your Books
Textbooks are a major expense for college students during the course of their studies. Anyone that has talked to students attending college courses will remember them bemoaning the costs of books because high textbook prices seem to be synonymous with college education. Well, we have great news for you. At GMC, students rent the textbooks required for their coursework for a low per-credit-hour fee. No More Purchasing Expensive Textbooks! Our students love our book rental program, and we are sure you will as well. It will save you hundreds of dollars each term.
Scholarships and Grants
GMC Cadet Scholarships are further broken down into sub-categories and are awarded to help pay for direct educational costs at GMC. The intent of the scholarship is to offset the difference between the cost of tuition, fees, room/board, and other financial aid grants or scholarships. The Cadet Scholarships are not intended to create a student refund. In addition to these GMC internally funded cadet scholarships are also two external cadet scholarships (Army ROTC and State Service). The following sub-categories are eligible for a GMC Cadet Scholarship:
- U.S. Army ROTC Scholarship (Early Commissioning Program)
- U.S. Coast Guard Academy (USCGA) Scholars Program
- U.S. Military Academy (USMA) (West Point) Preparatory Scholars Program

Financial Aid
The purpose of the financial aid services department is to assist students in meeting their educational goals by providing appropriate financial resources. The staff is aware of concerns students may have regarding financing their college education, and wants to assist by providing the best service possible. Our goal is to meet individual needs in a timely, efficient, and equitable manner. Financial aid awards at Georgia Military College are based on scholastic ability and/or financial need. Students may receive aid in the form of scholarships, grants, loans, or work opportunities. All students are encouraged to apply. Programs with limited funding are awarded according to the earliest application date.
Many students do not have the financial resources to accomplish their educational objectives. Through the financial aid programs, Georgia Military College makes every effort to assure that no qualified student will be denied the opportunity to attend school because of lack of funds. Each year over 85 percent of Corps of Cadets students receive some form of financial aid.
