Georgia Military College Hosts Blood Drive in Collaboration with LifeSouth Community Blood Centers

Georgia Military College, in collaboration with LifeSouth Community Blood Centers, held a highly successful blood drive that shattered previous records, with an impressive turnout from faculty, staff, and students.

The event, which took place on Tuesday, September 26 saw an amazing response from the Georgia Military College community. A total of 96 individuals registered online in advance, demonstrating a strong commitment to the cause of saving lives. Additionally, 90 onsite registrations were made on the day of the event. LifeSouth was able to collect double red cells units, platelets units and whole blood units making for a record-breaking event at GMC.

Furthermore, special recognition goes to Junior College Cadet Primus for his outstanding leadership and dedication. Cadet Primus not only donated blood himself but also took it upon himself to engage with fellow classmates, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the event. His efforts in maintaining hydration and providing snacks, as well as lightening the mood, were invaluable in making the blood drive a positive experience for all.

The success of the blood drive at Georgia Military College serves as a testament to the power of community involvement and highlights the importance of blood donation in saving lives.
