Life as a Cadet
State of the Art Facilities
GMC provides housing for all male and female boarding cadets in Baugh Barracks.
Rooms are arranged in a series of suits with two cadets per room with an interconnecting private bathroom. Each room has two closets, two beds, two desks, two chairs, and two 3-drawer chests. All rooms have internet connectivity. The dormitory also has a computer lab, game room, and free laundry facilities.
On-Campus Dining
The Georgia Military College Dining Facility, located in Boylan Hall, is always operational during the academic term. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are offered during the week, with brunch and dinner being offered on the weekends/holidays. Meal hours are adjusted during breaks and school closures. Meals normally include a choice of entrees with a selection of vegetables. A variety of short-order items are also available during lunch and dinner as well as a salad bar and a deli bar. Fresh soups and desserts are available every day.
Food items can be purchased a la carte in the “Growl Grab and Go.”
Daily Schedule/Regimen
A cadet’s average day is full of leadership opportunities, team-building experiences, and camaraderie. It is a full, busy day—and deliberately so.
Life in Milledgeville
GMC’s Main Campus shares Lake Sinclair and the historic town of Milledgeville with Georgia College & State University. Main Campus offers a traditional college experience where students live away from home in a college town, and take in-seat classes on a gorgeous 150-acre campus with paved running trails, a fitness center, off-campus study opportunities, athletics, fine arts, and numerous clubs and intramural activities.
