Support Wreaths Across America

Georgia Military College Prep Raiders completed a 10-mile ruck march (carrying a weighted backpack) on Veteran’s Day, November 11, 2015 from the Georgia War Veteran’s Home to the Georgia War Veteran’s Cemetery and back to GMC.  The march was meant to raise awareness to the group’s annual “Wreaths Across America Project” and their mission to raise enough money to place a live Christmas wreath on every veteran’s grave for Christmas.

Wreaths Across America (WAA) is a national nonprofit organization whose mission – Remember, Honor and Teach – is carried out each year in part through the laying of wreaths on National Wreaths Across America Day each December. There will be a local remembrance ceremony held this year at Georgia War Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville, GA on Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015. Please visit the www.wreathsacrossamerica.org for more information on the organization and to learn about the group’s mission and how to get involved. Wreaths cost $15 each.

If you would like to sponsor a wreath, visit https://give.wreathsacrossamerica.org and click the red box "Sponsor Locally" to make an online donation.  Then scroll down to “Find a Fundraising Group” and type in the GMC Raider ID- GA0062P. Click “SEARCH” then scroll down and click “DONATE.”  Choose payment and follow rest of steps to finalize your wreath sponsorship.

The deadline for online orders is December 1st.

Thank you for your support and remembering those who served our country!
