Character of the Week (MS) – January 25

Amy Folendore and Kaitlin Whipple – 8th Grade
Nominated by Major Linda Brown

I would like to nominate Amy Folendore and Kaitlin Whipple for Characters of the Week. Both Amy and Kaitlin are 8th grade students who are on my middle school girls’ basketball team and are two of the more dedicated student athletes. After last Friday night’s game, I observed both Amy and Kaitlin not only picking up their own trash, but also the trash around them that was left by other cadets attending the game. I watched as they filled their arms with trash and then dumped it in the can on their way out of the gym. This inspired me to look around where I was sitting to see what trash I could pick up and take out as I left. If only others could have witnessed this behavior and followed their lead. Thank you Amy and Kaitlin!!
