Georgia Military College Rewards Southside Elementary School Students

(Milledgeville, GA) April 25, 2003 – As its service project, the Academic Affairs Division at Georgia Military College selected Southside Elementary School as a “partner in education.” GMC junior college students recently set up a special “Southside Store” to reward Southside students who have displayed outstanding performance. The storefront was created by GMC junior college students in LTC Ray Hasting’s art classes. Pictured are, (back, l to r), Petrenna Barnes, Carol Clopton, Rachel Adams, and Brian Tanner, all GMC junior college students pursuing an associate’s degree in business; and (front, l to r), Southside students, Kiara Clemons, Kashae Rawlings, and Selina Martinez.
