In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, we know many students are facing tough challenges. Georgia Military College is here for you, and we are doing everything we can to ensure no one is left behind. We have plans to provide extensions and support for those affected with the goal of completing the term. Your safety and well-being are our top priorities, and we’ll be flexible and supportive as we move forward. As Quarter 1 ends, we remain committed to your success, so please check here regularly for updates as we monitor recovery efforts. For those who cannot make it to campus, GMC will make every effort to work with you individually. Additionally, we are closely monitoring the development and potential impact of Hurricane Milton. At this time, the storm’s path is being tracked carefully, and there is no immediate cause for alarm in our area. However, we want to ensure that you are prepared and informed in case the situation changes. Your safety is our top priority, and we will communicate any necessary actions promptly on our website, through email, text, and social media as necessary. Learn More

Reverse Transfer Initiative

2024 Schedule

What is Reverse Transfer?

Planning to transfer to, or already attending, another institution before you have completed your GMC Associate Degree? Take a look at the Reverse Transfer Initiative and learn how to receive a GMC Degree, with no cost to you, even if you do not take any additional classes with our college.

Students who have earned at least 23 credit hours with GMC and have transferred to a four-year institution without an Associate Degree may “reverse transfer” earned credits at their four-year institution to complete an Associate Degree with GMC. This process makes it possible for students to earn their Associate Degree while continuing to work on their Bachelor’s Degree.

For a simple explanation, students who transfer from GMC can still receive an Associate Degree from GMC without taking additional classes at our college. Get your credit for your Associate Degree for the credits you have taken at your follow-on institution.

Why is an Associate Degree Important?

An Associate Degree is an important marketable achievement that is valued by employers, transfer institutions, and professional institutions.

The Associate Degree can make a difference in your long-term success:

  • It can provide job opportunities while completing your Bachelor’s Degree.
  • It indicates motivation towards completing goals.
  • It helps students stay motivated while working on their Bachelor’s Degree.

Why wait any longer to receive your degree? Complete the Reverse Transfer Application Today!
